Job Summary: 

Reporting directly to the Directors of Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) and Hematology, Pediatric and Adult,  the Clinical Research Assistant coordinates clinical research activity within the divisions, including internal protocols, industry protocols, and large multi-center trials. The Clinical Research Assistant is expected to work with general guidance from supervisor to screen, enroll, and follow study subjects, ensuring protocol compliance and close monitoring while the subjects are on study. May assist Principal Investigator with study development,  protocol  and protocol amendments , execution of proper protocol and data analysis
May train other associates on specific tasks, if required.  Performs related work as required. 


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in sciences or related field with equivalent clinical research experience. 
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.  Knowledge of medical terminology is required. 
- Clinical research coordination experience as well as in-depth knowledge of good clinical practices as set forth by Federal regulations is strongly desired.
- Prior experience with Hematology-Oncology practice, preferred . 
- Completion of CITI course within 3 months of hire.

- Knowledge of and ability to use reporting -  Ability to provide accurate data upon request.

- Knowledge of the regulatory guidelines for the safety of Human subjects in clinical trials. Meet educational requirements concerning the Protection of Human subjects. 

- Coordinate research patient care through the institution’s system. Ability to utilize institution-specific computer systems to extract relevant patient data.
