RESEARCH PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

BRONX, NY, US


The Research Program Administrator will be responsible for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecologic and Women's Health's coordination and administration of all research study activities for OBGYN investigators including investigator-initiated studies.  The Research Administrator must have an in-depth knowledge of grants and sponsored projects, grant writing, contracts, and familiarity with overseeing clinical trials.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate all research activities within the Department.  Assist the Associate Vice Chairs of Research with administrative oversight of the Division.
  • Support all research needs of Investigators and trainees, including residents and fellows.
  • Serve as liaison to Departmental Administrator and Division Directors to ensure the successful operation of research activities and clinical trials.
  • Manage and assist with submission of applications and protocol renewal submissions, modifications, and consent forms to the committee on clinical Investigations  (CCI), Montefiore Medical Center (MMC),  IRB and Biomedical Research Alliance of New York (BRANY). and ensuring timely response to sponsor queries.
  • Oversee, coordinate and submit regulatory paperwork for protocols and ensure compliance. 
  • Provide monthly research reports of active, closed and pending/ submitted applications for the Chair and Unified Administrator. 
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle Manager to review and release research-related EPIC billing; work with Office of Clinical Trials for budget and invoicing; responsible for timely upkeep and review in VELOS
  • Monitor and evaluate study-related budgets in accordance with the determined fee schedule. Work closely with the post-award financial accountant, monthly monitoring of expenses and interim and final financial reporting.
  • Assist in performing preliminary contract negotiations and clinical trial agreements (CTAs) both sponsored and investigator-initiated trials, and serve as liaison to AECOM Research Administration.
  • MANAGE TEAM OF CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATES AND SUPERVISORS

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree Preferred

5 year’s work experience 

Prior research experience in a complex medical center.

Knowledge of HIPAA, COI, IRB, Cayuse

Experience with Microsoft Office, Epic, and Research reporting and application submission software
