RESIDENCY PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

The Residency Program Administrator provides key administrative and clerical support to the Office of Residency Training in Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. The individual will report to the Director and assist Directors of Fellowship Programs in the provision of administrative support to the department in alignment with the mission of the department and that of the medical center. 

 

Job Responsibilities

Review all new admissions for compliance with regulations

Coordinate compliance with accrediting agencies NYS DOH, JCAHO, ACGME

Provide project management assistance and support specific operational, financial and/ or business growth initiatives

Plan and manage facilities improvement projects

Identify efficiencies, expedite project completion, growth of business

Act as Program Liaison with visitors, applicants and hospital staff. Handle communications and direct inquiries, refer to appropriate personnel, and/or provide information

Photocopying, faxing, mailing and maintaining office supply inventories and storage facilities as necessary 

Prepare memos, reports, journal articles and other correspondence

Supervise and train all staff and trainees on charting and policy and procedure

 

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

5 Years work experience 

Knowledge of Joint Commission and OMH regulations, in accordance with 599 regulations preferred

Detail oriented, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the capability of managing multiple projects at once

Ability to prioritize work assignments and have excellent organization skills
