Job Summary
The Senior Director of Clinical Trials is a newly created leadership role that will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, financial growth, and expansion of the Cardiology clinical trials research program at Montefiore Medical Center. The Senior Director will be responsible for development of clinical trials and clinical research infrastructure, strategies for patient recruitment, regulatory compliance, clinical trial billing compliance, performance and quality improvement, operational efficiency, patient experience and employee engagement. The Senior Director will ensure that all institutional, local, state, and Federal Regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCPs), ICH, and IRB requirements are met and that all Cardiology Clinical research programs are structured to continue to meet these expectations. In this capacity, the Senior Director will provide leadership and program oversight to the Cardiology clinical trial research operations team at various Montefiore campuses including director of clinical trials and regulatory affairs, associate/assistant research directors, research managers, study supervisors and research technicians.
The Senior Director will have the guidance of the Physician Leadership (ie. Medical Director of Clinical Research & Chief of Cardiology) and the Unified Administrator of Cardiology for achieving these objectives.
Requirements
Master’s Degree required with 5 years relevant experience
ACRP or SOCRA Certification within 24 months of employment.
