Our Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences department is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Program Development & Analytics
The Director of New Program Development & Analytics in close collaboration with Chair and Unified Administrator for Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences will lead the strategic implementation and analytics of the Behavioral Health Centers of Excellence, overseeing multiple programs funded by state grants. This role is pivotal in enhancing clinical operations, optimizing revenue cycle, and expanding faculty practice within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in academic medicine, new program development, project management, and financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Behavioral Health Centers of Excellence
- Oversee the implementation of projects funded by $25.8M in state funding across 10+ new programs and 95 FTEs. Manage the project lifecycle from submission to design, construction, and go-live, including:
- Comprehensive Psychiatry Emergency Program (CPEP)
- Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
- Child Outpatient Clinic in South Bronx
- Bridge Clinic / Behavioral Health Urgent Care for Children and Adults
- Eating Disorders Programs (various levels of care)
- Women’s Mental Health/Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program
- First-Episode Program / Early Psychosis Program
- Clozapine Clinic
- Lead required reporting to the State on program milestones and performance measures to secure performance-based funding.
New Grant Funding to Support Clinical Operations Expansion
- Develop strategies for identifying and applying for new state, federal, and foundation grants in collaboration with senior psychiatry and regulatory planning.
- Collaborate with senior psychiatry leadership on business plans for new program development.
Department Analytics & Digital Innovation
- Oversee the expansion of departmental dashboards to include new programs and measures that inform leadership of key opportunities.
- Present departmental analytics at various leadership meetings, including Central Admin leadership, Executive Committee, and campus-based leadership
- Support design and implementation of a Digital Innovations Program within department
Revenue Cycle Optimization
- Lead initiatives to optimize the revenue cycle across existing and new programs, focusing on coding optimization and maximizing billing potential.
Faculty Practice Expansion
- Support the expansion of general and specialty faculty practices by developing analytics infrastructure for the following programs:
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD) & Anxiety
- Neurocognitive Services (ATLAS, Neuropsychology, ADHD, HFA)
- Associate and House Staff Mental Health & Wellbeing
- Eating Disorders Program at Montefiore Westchester
- Interventional Psychiatry – Neurostimulation and Novel Therapeutics
- Sports Mental Health and Performance
- Support the proposals and implementation of MEPA expansion into Manhattan, Westchester and nationally
Required Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Proven experience in finance and project management.
- Strong management experience with a focus on leading diverse teams.
- Academic healthcare experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with a track record of increasing responsibilities.
