SENIOR DIRECTOR FOOD NUTRITION SERVICES

Job overview:

The Senior Director of Food Nutrition Services, provides the Food and Nutrition Services Department with a mission and vision consistent with institutional goals, Acts as an information resource to senior management in all areas of nutrition services.

Provides leadership, direction and guidance for the effective functioning of all nutrition services which include all aspects of Food Service within the coordinated care model; menu development; patient meal service, customer relations and materials management for the acute and long term care divisions.

In addition, responsible for the clinical nutrition department for New Rochelle, Mt. Vernon and Schaffer Extended care. 

Oversees the total scope of operation for adherence to regulatory agency requirements, institutional and departamental policies and procedures, budget and performance improvement.

Directs the daily activities for a designated administrative function to ensure that the business goals and objectives are achieved. 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred)
  • 15 years management experience in large scale establishment with strong background dealing with union employees.
  • Ability to direct multi-site operations and personnel. 
  • Advance knowledge of computer programs relating to food service.
