SOCIAL WORKER MSW

As a professional member of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker provides a range of direct and indirect services for patient/families including, but not limited to, the identification of psychosocial problems and their resolutions. In addition, the Social Worker collaborates with the patient/family/team to effect safe and timely discharge/treatment plans. The Social Worker complies with the Mission Statements of Montefiore and Social Services, and the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Work.

 

Master’s in social work from a school of Social Work from a program registered by the NYS Dept. of Education or determined to be substantially equivalent by the commissioner's regulation.

If employee has a limited permit, they must have an executed Memorandum of understanding with a licensed Social Worker for the purposes of supervision and must obtain LMSW within 6 months of employment. 

Requires LMSW or LCSW. License and Registration
