STAFF NURSE I/ II

BRONX, NY, US


Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients. Assesses patients, develops and documents nursing care and discharge plans, and prepares and administers medications and interventions. Supervises nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities.

 
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Required Experience:
One (1) year of acute care RN experience is required; exceptional recent graduates will be considered
2 years of RN experience in Medical / Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department experience preferred
New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.

BSN Degree preferred
BLS/ACLS/PALS Training
Infection Control and Barrier Precaution
Certification in specialty preferred
Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
