The Adult Urology Staff RN in the Department of Urology will fulfill the duties as described in Montefiore’s Staff RN I/II job description.  In addition, the Adult Urology Staff RN will support the adult ambulatory practices at the Hutch campus and offsites through coordination of patient/family care including telephone triage, telephone follow up for testing results, patient/family teaching, review of upcoming procedural schedules, management of overbooking, and coordination of pre-op testing for surgery.  The Adult Urology Staff RN will generally function as clinical expert and patient advocate in the area of Adult Urology.

Education/Skills required:

  •  Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing coupled with three (3) years' experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  •  New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.  Peri-operative, Urological or outpatient surgical experience preferred
  • Spanish preferred.
