STAFF NURSE I/II

BRONX, NY, US


Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients. Assesses patients, develops and documents nursing care and discharge plans, and prepares and administers medications and interventions. Supervises nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Required Experience:
•    One (1) year of acute care RN experience is required; exceptional recent graduates will be considered •    2 years of RN experience in Medical / Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department experience preferred

New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.
BSN Degree preferred
BLS/ACLS/PALS Training Infection Control Training
Certification in specialty preferred
Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
 
 

ASSOCIATE REFERRAL PROGRAM
Enjoy the rewards of referring a Staff RN I/II or a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department for Einstein, Moses, CHAM and Wakefield campuses.
  
Qualified candidates must have an NYS RN License with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

 

Full time ONLY (day, evening, and night shifts only – does not apply to part-time or per diem positions)

 

Referral Amount:

 

  1.  NYSNA bargaining unit members who successfully refer a candidate that is hired for a   NYSNA position will receive $3,500
  2. Refer a full time Emergency Department Staff Nurse I/II and receive $2,500
  3. Non NYSNA or NYSNA bargaining unit members who successfully refer a Registered Nurse with at least one year of ED and/or a minimum of two years of Med/Surg experience that is hired for a NYSNA position will receive $5,000

Referral Program:  

  • This program is only for associates who refer experienced full-time Staff RN I/II for the Emergency Department.

 

  • The award will be paid in one check on a payroll day after the probationary period has been completed

 

  • This Associate Referral Program is open to Montefiore Medical Center associates as outlined in HR Policy ll-4b.

 

How to submit a referral:
 

Locate a Staff Nurse I/II Emergency Department requisition (posting will indicate ARP eligible) and use the “Refer a Friend” option via the Talent Management System.  All referrals must have a current resume attached at the time of referral and will be tracked via the Talent Management System.
