STAFF NURSE I/II

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 

Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients. Assesses patients, develops and documents nursing care and discharge plans, and prepares and administers medications and interventions. Supervises nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities. Superb communication and customer service skills are required at all times to interact effectively with all patients.  The Staff Nurse will assist with the following procedures: High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA), IRC/Banding, Excisions (skin tag, pilonidal cyst, lipomas), Peripheral Nerve Evaluation (PNE) and Alabations.

 

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

New York State Registered Professional Nursing license and current registration. 

Basic Life Support. 

Procedural and HRA experience is preferred.

Use of patient care equipment as authorized by scope of practice.

Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval system.

Use of electronic clinical information system. 

Must detail oriented.

Effective English communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal.
