STAFF NURSE I/II

BRONX, NY, US


The RN will partially function as a research nurse coordinator handling study applications and progress reports, as well as maintaining study records, informed consent, provide patient education and information, care and treatment on clinical trials, assessing patients for adverse events and document and report as needed.

Clinical responsibilities include coordinating and expediting multidisciplinary care, the counseling of patients, arranging home equipment and supplies, completing disability forms and letters of medical necessity and/or other forms letters patients need. Assist with clinic patients during HNS clinic sessions to address additional questions and concerns in person and by phone during their course of treatment.

Monitor compliance with JCAHO standards for disinfection of equipment, prepare for JCAHO and participate in reviews and meetings, address any issues from administration.  Perform annual competencies of clinical staff, perform quarterly surveys of dept. compliance with disinfection procedures, monitor required annual training of clinical staff, conduct periodic in-services for training and review of old and new disinfection procedures and issues.  Must hold or be eligible for a valid RN License and Registration
