SUPERVISOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The Community Engagement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing participant recruitment for both the HERO Dads and Supporting Healthy Relationships programs. CES will supervise Social Worker Assistants and other relevant staff in liaising with partner agencies within and outside Montefiore to increase awareness of encourage referrals to both programs to ensure that grant-required annual enrollment targets are met. CES will also supervise SWA in outreaching potential and interested program participants in order to facilitate the intake and enrollment process. In addition to supervising Social Worker Assistants in these activities, the SCES will also liaise with partner agencies and outreach participants as part of their role.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Excellent oral/written communication. Knowledge of Bronx resources.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Familiar with community resources and systems approaches
- Ability to utilize PC based automated word processing systems, spreadsheets, internet-based applications.
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of the mission, vision, values, and policies and procedures of MMC as well as policies and procedures specific to these programs
- Ability and willingness to engage in a significant amount of field work
- Flexibility and ability to find creative solutions to challenges
- Strong interpersonal skill in working with clients, colleagues, and when interfacing with other agencies
- Capability to exercise excellent judgment, professionalism, and independence
- Spanish speaking required
- Experience providing social work services in a medical setting preferred
