Sleep Technician

BRONX, NY, US


The Sleep Technician Performs comprehensive sleep testing and analysis, and associated interventions (including welcoming the patient, orient patient to sleep lab, placing leads on patients, monitoring/performing study, unhooking the patient after study, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and completing appropriate forms). The technician must provide training to those co-workers of lesser experience and/or skill. The technician may be asked to supervise other staff and perform lab manager type duties ( in absence of lab manager).

 

License/ Certification

Must have certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a registered Polysomnographic Technologist and NYS license to practice as a sleep technician. ( Successful completion of a accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with emphasis in polysomnography or successful completion of a polysomnography program. Associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility).

Minimum 3 years of related experience
