We are excited to offer an esteemed opportunity to join our team at Montefiore Wakefield Campus, a Magnet designated hospital recognized for its excellence in patient care. Our Psychiatric department is currently seeking a highly skilled Ward Clerk/Unit Secretary to support our patient care team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the flow of information inter/intra unit and between members of the patient care team. As a Ward Clerk/Unit Secretary, the individual will function as a receptionist, perform secretarial and routine administrative duties, and maintain the integrity and accuracy of the medical record from admission to discharge. Additional responsibilities will include ordering supplies and coordinating the movement of patients on the assigned unit.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduation and/or equivalent.
  • Computer Literacy required.
  • Trained on either CIS or BIS a unit secretary must demonstrate that they are capable of working in a windows environment
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Medical Secretary experience preferred.
