LEARNING SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

ELMSFORD, NY, US


The LMS & Learning Network Systems Administrator / Virtual Training Producer manages the operation and administration of Montefiore's Learning Management System (LMS).  In addition, manages the operation and administration of  talent, performance, engagement and coaching/mentoring systems across Montefiore Medicine.  Provides technical support to end users and Learning Network leads  in support of those systems. The LMS & Learning Network Systems Administrator/Virtual Training Producer,  is accountable for the accurate and efficient functioning of the LMS and other talent and organization development systems. 

- leads the configuration of the systems, 
- establishes and enforces policies and procedures for usage, 
- manages testing and evaluation of new features and tools, 
- sets user roles and permissions to ensure data integrity, 
- identifies and communicates opportunities for process and quality improvements,
- creates and updates resources to train and support LMS and other Learning Network systems users,
- produces accurate reports and metrics including regulatory required information. 

The LMS & Learning Network Systems Administrator / Virtual Training Producer acts as an internal consultant by analyzing data and recommending solutions to utilize the LMS and other Learning Network systems to deliver and track learning activities, talent management and organization development interventions supporting organizational objectives. This individual also serves as a point of escalation for issues that cannot be resolved by front line support.

Additionally, the LMS & Learning Network Systems Administrator / Virtual Training Producer leads all aspects of virtual live trainings or events (e.g., virtual classrooms, meetings, webinars, and webcasts) to ensure implementation of best practices and to create a seamless, engaging, and effective learning experience for participants. This includes planning, setup, in-session management, and follow-up. The VILT Producer supports the facilitators and participants with connecting to and managing audio/video, using the chat to communicate, annotating white boards, and participating in breakout activities. The VILT Producer can also support participant engagement in exercises and activities by role playing, commenting in chat, participating during discussions, and assisting with progress checks as needed. 

 

Education/Skills:

Minimum education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Database Administration or related field; OR Education, Business, or Human Resources with a technology focus . Master's degree preferred.

At least 2 years' experience administering Learning Management Systems. 

Knowledge of interfaces--how information flows between systems.

Experience with common learning technologies, such as webinar technology, eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), and video production tools.

Advanced knowledge of virtual meeting/training tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).

Ability to troubleshoot technical issues on the system side as well as on the user side (e.g., issues with Browser compatibility, network security, user error, etc.)

Experience managing external vendors.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Knowledge of adult learning theory.

Stellar communication and customer service skills.

Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues across multiple functional areas of the organization.
