PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 

The Physician Assistant at Montefiore Radiology at Riverdale will work as to expedite patients throughout Radiology in a timely fashion with primary focus in outpatient imaging MRI and CT.

Obtain relevant history, perform a complete or focused physical exam and procures previous diagnostic testing results.

Emergency treatment of any/all contrast adverse reactions resulting from IV administration of same, including follow up.

Support physicians across Montefiore Radiology in protocoling and patient assessment for MRI and CT.

Oversee and train staff on all aspects of IV contrast injection. Occasional interventional procedure participation in the monitoring and/care patients.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Must be a graduate of an approved PA program.  

Licensed and registered in New York State.  

Must pass National Certification Exam and must pass National Recertification Exam every six years.  

Must obtain 100 credits of approved CME every two years.
