ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

TARRYTOWN, NY, US


Manage overall operations of the Accounts Payable Department to assure timely processing of payments to vendors, service providers, contractors, etc. for proper flow of goods and services necessary to maintain the Institution's operations, including patient care and research.
 

Responsibilities:

 

Directly responsible for managing the monthly financial close and financial statement preparation processes

Increased productivity, increased knowledge of the Accounts Payable procedures—training and feedback to and from employ

Maintaining payment terms for most vendors and reduction of credit holds at the same time as well as prevent credit holds.

Set up policies and procedures for the Accounts Payable Dept. Written policies and guidelines are available to Accounts Payable personnel and the Institution.

Monitor all expenditures to ensure that the unclaimed property records are correct to minimize exposure to the New York State Office of Unclaimed Funds. 

Provide continuous training to operating departments on how to complete transactions.

 

Education:  Master's Degree required.  Five years' experience.

Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. 
- Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
