ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

TARRYTOWN, NY, US


Accountable for overseeing the design, implementation and integration of processes and systems to ensure effective delivery of solutions that support Montefiore's strategic goals. Will lead a team to support Operations in Materials (Supply Chain), Finance, and Human Resource/Payroll functions for the SAP application.  He/she will be second in command and serve as the decision maker in the absence of the Director. Provide guidance and direction to continually improve professional growth of staff members.  Support overall coordination of financial and materials processes and systems, and provide subject matter expert pertaining to application products to support Montefiore's business models and financial information needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with functional and technical teams to drive technical design decisions; ability to identify gaps in proposed vendor solutions.
  • Understand future direction/initiatives that vendors (SAP, Strata, EPIC, etc.) relating to Montefiore.
  • Analyze impact of changes to systems and present to all levels of workgroups.
  • Oversee project implementations in a manner to foster team work and team accountability.
  • Ensure coordination and system integrity among data sources and financial modules support the Business Analytical Platform.
  • Work closely with BIS Leadership, BIS Solutions, and IT resources to ensure optimal configuration and reconsolidation of financial/administrative/clinical data needs.
  • Undertake staffing responsibilities and prioritize staff workload including delegating duties to complete projects and streamline day-to-day activities.
  • Track department expenditures and identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide direction with testing, validation and cross-system functionality during implementations, upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, prepare and monitor budget.
  • Assure policies and procedures are updated, communicated, and maintained in a timely manner to align with updated processes and system functionalities.
  • Partner with IT technical resources and system integrator to develop a strategy around:

         - System Integration with other applications

  - Best Practice Recommendations on solution design, testing methodology, reporting

  - Build out and maintain library of business processes and solutions

  • Act as company representative  
  • Assist Supervisor with managing planning & budgeting of critical projects, attending senior leadership meetings, and managing expectations of staff. 

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's Degree is a +
  • 10 + years of working experience
  • Must have Project Management, experience in architect integrated solution, specifically between SAP and other source systems such as EPIC and Strata. Must have experience in data integration between the modules and process knowledge to assist with issue resolution. 
  • Experience with the design, implementation, improvement and management of SAP's suite of core and extended applications that span Materials Management and Logistics Execution, Financial, Controlling and Reporting, Funds and Grants Management, Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence solutions.
  • 10+ years, intermediate level of proficiency in MS Project, Word and Excel -Pivot Tables and formula for use as comparison and analysis tools
  • Industry experience in healthcare or other customer-driven industries - insurance, financial services, retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods
  • Possess strong communication, organization and presentation skills including ability to communicate with internal/external colleagues and customers at all levels.
