ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR PROCURE TO PAY
TARRYTOWN, NY, US
Reporting to Director of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), this position is responsible for establishing and managing procurement and logistics operations, as well as vendor management, purchasing, shipping/receiving, QC inspections, inventory management, and equipment/asset management. The Associate Director will participate in client audits (particularly at close-out) to identify potential improvements as determined by external auditors and clients, propose suggestions for improvement, and monitor outcomes, as applicable, for the development of the business.
Responsible for business process excellence and standardization across the organization
• Participates in the identification, requirements definition, and implementation of new services offerings in support of business strategies
• Develops templates for vendor RFPs and other vendor-related documentation
• Assesses vendor-related system regarding systems of record, systems functionality, and processes used and potentially to be optimized
• Assesses and improves end to end procure to pay process in collaboration with the finance department
• Manages the day-to-day operations of the P2P department. Oversee team members’ work performance, offering guidance and advice where needed and providing necessary feedback to management
• Confirm all request for product is processed in a timely and accurately
• Provide operational support to departments within the Health System
• Strategic planning to establish core outcomes and to develop timetables for various projects as well as daily tasks
• Responsible for the tracking and timely resolution of request for product and service
• Create, maintain reports, spreadsheet and databases. Analyze databases and present data findings
• Perform analysis to predict potential inventory problems using consumption rates and product shelf life
• Reconcile inventory audits, review variance reports and correct discrepancies
Education/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization
• Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project
• Team Management experience managing a team of at least ten team members
• Experience in people and team development
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to understand how the company is organized, its positions and how it interacts with its environment
