CLERK ACCOUNTING SENIOR

Job description:

  • Responsible for accurate hospital denial resolution for Inpatient & Outpatient claims
  • Responsible for verifying and setting up insurance coverage on denied claims
  • Associate needs to resolve denials by determining the appropriate next step required to bring claim to resolution.
  • Reduce the receivables and increase cash collection.
  • Address high volume of denials in a timely manner to reduce revenue loss.
  • Trace trends and provide findings to Management.
  • Associates needs to have analytical thinking skills when following up on claim status.
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems requirements.
  • Researching and appealing denied claims

 

Education/Requirements:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Prior applicable experience in a hospital or physician billing and collections department.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency preferable experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional customer service

 

Must successfully pass pre-hire exams; Math, grammar/vocabulary & customer service with a score of 80% or above. Billing experience required.
