DATA ANALYST TRANSFORMATION IMPROVEMENT

The Data Analyst position reports to the Director, Optimization and Operations and will provide day to day support managing and analyzing data generated by the Patient Access Center (PAC).  In this role, the successful candidate assists with comprehensive data collection and analysis that integrates the institutional goals and initiatives related to patient access improvement with scheduling and registration activities at the Patient Access Center. This position is responsible for preparing large quantities of data into integrated, easily visualized, accurate and timely reports. The position is also responsible for assisting with the maintenance and support of various data tools. The Data Analyst expertise includes data analytics regarding ambulatory care operations and call center operations. The Data Analyst provides analytic support to multiple departments and develops a variety of complex ad hoc, production, and/or trend reports to support business decisions and operational processes for internal and external customers, at all levels of the PAC and FPG team including leadership, practice managers and others.
 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in healthcare services. 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience manipulating and analyzing data from large relational database files.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel and/or other software associated with data analytics
  • Understanding and/or experience with master data management or responsibility for large, complex data sets preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills, ability to work across disciplines in collaborative environment and explain trends in data
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions ensuring finished work products meet business requirements and expectations while being delivered on time
  • Ability to understand data at both a macro and micro level to identify high level trends and trouble shoot specific process issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions (PAC/ clinical practice operations, MIT Business Intelligence team)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline driven, academic health system environment.
  • Project management experience helpful
