DIRECTOR FINANCIAL REPORTING

TARRYTOWN, NY, US


1. This position  is directly responsible for managing the monthly financial close and financial statement preparation processes for all of Montefiore.
 A. Maintain financial close calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for the following processes: financial work paper   analysis, monthly, quarterly and annual drafts, reporting packages and finance committee reporting. 

 B. Maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements and accounting policies.  Provide US GAAP interpretation and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner

 C.  Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to accelerate monthly close and reporting processes.  Develop, implement and ensure effective and practical implementation of formal policies and procedures.

2. Supervise financial accounting team.

3. Oversee payroll function for Montefiore Medical Center

4. Directly responsible for overseeing tax function across Montefiore Medicine

5. Maintain books and records of MHS, including tracking inter-company accounts and billing for services provided at MMC to member entities

 

Education/Skills:

 

Bachelor's degree required.  Ten year's experience.

Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word required.

Knowledge and experience with SAP or other large automated accounting software systems required.
