HEALTHCARE PERFORMANCE ENGINEER/REVENUE CYCLE

The Revenue Cycle Performance Engineer position provides consultation on internal revenue cycle operations to support strategic leadership planning and decision making.  The position works to solve operational inefficiencies by identifying improvement opportunities and partnering with revenue cycle stakeholders and other department at Montefiore to develop and implement solutions to maximum cash flow and revenue returns. Lead and manage process design and/or redesign initiatives by employing various methodologies such as system/operations analysis, forecasting demands, constraint analysis, queuing theory, process modeling and simulation, and other methodologies as appropriate. Application of project management methods and supporting technologies to support complex revenue cycle related projects, including the develop of project plans, financial projections, project budgets, resource plans, risk mitigation strategies and communication plans. Conduct data mining and analysis to identify improvement opportunities and support efficient processing of digital information

 

Graduate Degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering with a focus on Management Engineering, Healthcare Business Management, or Operations Research.  Lean Six Sigma preferred.

Experience with SmarterDx, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Medical Record Coding, Hospital Quality Measures and Risk Adjustment is strongly preferred.  

 

Epic Certifications in Hospital Billing, Revenue Integrity, and/or Clarity Data Model preferred.

Ability to manage and analyze large data sets and development of data visualization for analysis and presentation.
