SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the monthly close and reporting cycle within the Financial Accounting Department of the Montefiore Health System, mainly assisting with St. Luke's Cornwall. Responsibilities will include journal entry input/upload, account reconciliations, account analysis (actual to budget variance analysis) as well as ad-hoc projects and assisting with the year-end audit. This position will review workpapers of staff and provide guidance while ensuring they are meeting deadlines and understanding day to day tasks.

Education/Skills:

Bachelor's Degree.   Three year's experience.

Advanced knowledge and use of  Microsoft Excel and Word required. Must demonstrate an ability to use complex excel functions such as v lookups, pivot tables, filters, etc.

Must be able to document processes and internal controls.  

The ability to work within tight deadlines and collaborate with accounting team members, while obtaining data from various departments throughout the organization.
