To help achieve these goals Montefiore is recruiting for seasoned Supply Chain leaders to provide expertise, create efficiencies, realize financial savings, and add value for our Clinicians and Associates.

 

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the creation of analysis utilized to drive business decisions inside and outside the supply chain in a healthcare environment. This position will harvest data from multiple systems to drive business cases, measure initiatives and find opportunities for efficiencies/savings. The Senior Financial Analyst will ensure the integrity of the data utilized for specific initiatives, so all findings and assumptions are sound. This position will also elicit/interpret business requirements from internal stakeholders to meet data request needs.

The individual in this position must:

(1) possess knowledge of principles and practice of analytics and reporting management in a large matrix organization.

(2) Strong analytical skills and ability to identify appropriate analytical approaches depending on the business need.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Senior Financial Analyst tracks financial performance of the Supply Chain as well specific initiatives/programs for other internal departments. Use of system applications for tracking, analyzing, and developing reports. Design, develop and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards for the broader services organization. Responsible for running reports in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. Developing a deep understanding of the business you support, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and delivering value.
 

Work with complex datasets to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, and behaviors. Work with business leaders across the system to understand business questions to provide data-driven insights. 

 

  1. Analyzes business needs and ensures that functional and technical requirements are documented. 
    1. Develop communication strategy and establish communication plan.
    2. Performs necessary investigations, analyses, and evaluations to determine feasibility. 
    3. Prepares routine department status reports. 
    4. Provide regular department status information to team members, including attending required meetings and following-up on action items.
    5. Ensure adherence to protocols, procedures, and project plans.
    6. Establish departmental goals and measurements of success.
    7. Ensure each project deliverable has clear completion criteria and acceptance plan.
    8. Maintains all relevant documentation and communications.
  1. Provides direction and support to the department ensuring the team is informed of all changes, decisions, etc. that may affect the success of the department.
  2. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships within the system in order to obtain information and content from providers and colleagues to foster successful project completion.
  3. Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing, and maintaining project information and models. Also develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes. 

  4. Develops and manages best-practices and tools for performance improvement plan execution and management. Identifies and manages performance improvement dependencies and critical path issues.
  5. Serve as an operational resource for internal team members for expedited problem identification and resolution, provision of project-specific updates, and team interactions and deadlines.

  6. Ability to coordinate or manage multiple projects across the Health System.

  7. Adhere and assists with business operations and project specific quality documents (for example: SOPs, work plans/practices, training guides).

  8. Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.

  9. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  10. Proficiency with Excel, Word and standard computer programs required.

  11. Other duties as assigned.

 

 EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

BS/BA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's preferred.  Minimum of three (3) years in an advanced Data Analytics position

 

KNOWLEDGEABLE IN:

 

Microsoft Office (Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel)

Tableau

SQL Server & SQL Writing

SSIS or any ETL tools in the market

MS office suite

ERP and current supply chain information systems

EMR

Contract Management Software

Project Management Software

Accounting principles, cost analysis, and forecasting
