We are hiring for an Application Analyst on our Epic ClinDoc team.
*While this team works remotely some of the time, you must be prepared to work on premise as required. Montefiore requires employees to reside in the U.S. states of NY, NJ, CT, or PA. Montefiore does not provide relocation / does not pay for relocation. Montefiore requires immunizations including for COVID-19 and flu.
Responsibilities:
- Participate with Inpatient Clinical Documentation workflows (Nursing, Respiratory, Behavior Health, Nutrition, Social Work, Ancillary clinicians).
- Participate with hospital outpatient department workflow content for areas such as Wound Care, Dialysis & Nutrition.
- Work with various governance committees to develop Epic solutions, if required.
- Install new applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings.
- Provide go-live and rollout support. Support users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
- Interface with users/clients across the Montefiore Health System. Support users on new applications, modules, and functionality
- Perform analysis of necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate Montefiore IT associates or the vendor to coordinate the modification
- Determine how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users:
- Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements
- Interpret end user requirements, by fully discussing potential options, and help client move towards optimal solution
- Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system
- Create system specifications from user requirements
- Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications. Document all outcomes of testing.
- Design database queries and create reports utilizing a report-writing tool.
- Application implementation, troubleshooting, and support
- Participate in technical integration and interface build
- Write and maintain accurate and current documentation Participate in the maintenance of training materials and disseminate materials to users
- Provide day-to-day operational support, advanced application troubleshooting support, coordinate modifications and updates, recommend improvements & increase efficiencies and provide pro-active monitoring
- Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis
- On an as-needed basis, provide on-site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and/or its’ affiliates (on-site, rotational support)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Epic certification in ClinDoc, Orders or Ambulatory. (Strong consideration will be given to candidates with clinical background/experience that are not currently certified but can demonstrate ability to become certified).
- 2+ years of related clinical or business experience
- Expertise in Epic Clinical documentation tools and Text utilities
- Application/System implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience
- Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Knowledge of SDLC
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers, and management
- Eager to learn, exceptional listening skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentations skills
- Excellent follow up skills, documentation skills and organizational skills
- Must be adaptable in a rapidly changing environment with competing priorities
- MEETING ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR EPIC CERTIFICATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
