APPLICATION ANALYST-EPIC SECURE CHAT / MYCHART / TELEHEALTH / MOBILE SOLUTIONS- 8370

In this role, the Epic Application Analyst (Epic - Patient Engagement team) will be a part of Montefiore’s initiative to launch Epic Secure Chat, as well as the continued expansion of Epic MyChart (patient portal), mobile solutions and Telehealth. Epic Secure Chat is an integrated, asynchronous text-based system available within Haiku, Canto, Rover and Hyperspace for user-to-user communication. The Epic Application Analyst will configure and implement in support of the Epic-Patient Engagement team and its products. This team works closely with business operations as well as the Epic application teams to support the future growth of the products.
Responsibilities:
The Epic Application Analyst - Patient Engagement will join this exciting team to expand and enhance Epic software to Montefiore Health System. The Application Analyst will achieve knowledge of the Epic application. Additionally, the Application Analyst performs analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with Epic software. This Application Analyst prepares requirement specifications and provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems and procedures that meet user requirements. The Analyst will review and test new releases and document all outcomes of testing and serve as the support contact for the application. This position has responsibility within all phases of the application implementation including design, build, test, installation, and maintenance of the application. The Application Analyst provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
- Epic certification is required in at least one of the following modules: Epic Ambulatory, Epic ClinDoc, Epic MyChart (*if not Epic certified upon hire, this will be required within 3 months of start date. Strong consideration will be given to candidates that are not currently certified but can demonstrate ability to become certified).
- Experience in application build and go-live, along with experience in implementation, workflows, troubleshooting, testing, and support
- Knowledge of clinical area or business area to be supported
- Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience working directly with end users
- Demonstrative understanding of technical documentation
- Critical thinking skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- On a rotational basis, provide remote 24 x 7 on-call support
- On an as-needed basis, provide on-site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and/or its’ affiliates.
- MEETING ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR EPIC CERTIFICATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
Desired:
- Clinical application experience in Epic Ambulatory, Epic ClinDoc and/or Epic MyChart
- Programming or other technical skills beneficial
- Experience in Telehealth with Epic integrated solutions
- Experience in mobile solutions and patient portals
- Experience in implementing and/or supporting Epic Secure Chart
