Our Clinical Ancillary Systems team consists of skilled IT healthcare talent that has experience in implementing, supporting and upgrading many clinical applications that provide critical information for diagnosing and treating patients. These include, but are not limited to: EPIC Radiant, Cardiovascular Information Systems (CVIS), including EPIC Cupid, Picture Archive and Communication Systems (PACS) and many others that help Montefiore effectively share information and provide high-quality care. The technical team is comprised of 40+ people at various levels in Application Analyst, Team Lead, Technical Lead and Manager positions. Together, they are focused on supporting the way we share patient information across clinical providers and business systems users, with the goal of making each patient’s experience seamless and patient-centered.


The Application Analyst will provide technological consultation and assistance to users of Clinical Ancillary Information Systems including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Analysis of user needs and requirements;
  • Application installation and testing;
  • Application problem resolution;
  • Writing user documentation;
  • Management report creation.


General Description:

  • Interface between the departmental users/clients and the various divisions of MIT;
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for CVIS and other applications/solutions provided and or supported by the Cardio Vascular Nutrition Support Team (CVNS);
  • Triage network/workstation/hardware related issues;
  • Coordinate modifications and updates to the CPACS and CVIS applications and other applications/systems provided and or supported by the CVNS Team;
  • Provide advanced application troubleshooting support for systems/applications provided and or supported by the CVNS Team.
  • Recommend improvements and increase efficiency of the CPACS, CVIS, and the other systems/applications provided and or supported by the CVNS Team;
  • Assist with coordination of vendor activities including hardware and software installation;
  • Test new systems, version upgrades, interfaces and other system modifications;
  • Provide pro-active monitoring of the applications/systems provided and or supported by the CVNS Team;
  • Maintaining accurate and current documentation regarding systems/applications provided and or supported by the CVNS Team;



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field. Experience will be considered in place of a degree
  • Meeting all requirements for Epic Proficiency is a condition of employment
  • PACS/CPACS experience
  • Knowledge of the workflow associated with either Radiology or Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology
  • Understanding of DICOM, HL7, IHE and other health related standards
  • Experience with any of the following is preferred: EPIC-Cupid, Apollo, Xcelera, PedCath, PaceArt, GE MacLab/CardioLab, MUSE, CBORD and Medstreaming.
  • Troubleshooting Windows workstations
  • Troubleshooting Cardiology Modalities, US, Flouroscopy, IVUS, etc
  • IT experience in patient care settings / medical centers / healthcare
  • Strong technical skills including multiple operating systems, modalities and clinical systems
  • Eager to learn; exceptional listening skills
  • Passionate about the IT service you are providing to the clinical users and its impact on patient-care
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, vendors peers and management
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Work well in a team environment

  • Provide 24 x 7 on-call, rotational support for users
  • Rotational commuting throughout all facilities within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and other Montefiore clients, as needed
