BUSINESS ANALYST VMO REPORTING

Our award-winning IT organization seeks a Business Analyst on our new VMO team to focus on reporting and compliance aspects of our relationship with vendors we leverage for outsourced IT work.  The  person in this position will work with Montefiore resources and vendor staff to develop and provide reports relative to risks that may exist from legal, compliance, regulatory, security, audit, or contractual aspects that may impact performance.

This position requires work experience measuring VMO performance in an enterprise IT environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze business processes and workflows.
  • Identify stakeholders.
  • Meet with users to identify needs and requests.
  • Work closely with Montefiore and vendor team members to identify reporting criteria and scope of risk.
  • Develop a strong understanding of vendor SLAs and use measurement techniques to inform accurate reporting.
  • Create and manage reports.
  • Communicate with Montefiore leadership and vendor on vendor performance.

Depending on the Montefiore IT Department or project, responsibilities may further include one or more of the following:

• Quality Assurance responsibilities including the planning and execution of functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.

• Client Support

o Provide timely, effective, and professional customer support 24x7 on a rotating basis. Triage network, hardware, or workstation issues. Work with help desk and support personnel on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them.

o Troubleshoot and analyze data to ensure that system is functioning as per user requirements.

• Create user training materials and/or participate in training users in the use of the new system.

• Document policies and procedures, allowing for consistency in practices.

• Operations - assist in managing capital project tools to ensure data accuracy and proper metrics reporting from budgeting through project completion & closure.  This position will coordinate all activity required from Project Management Office, product support, implementation areas and others involved.  Track workflow of all IT related documentation for capital projects.  Work with Business Intelligence area to develop a reporting dashboard for capital expenditures and automate manual reports to reduce reporting cycle time.

 

Required experience includes:

  • Experience reporting on vendor adherence to contracts.
  • Documentation of requirements and workflows.
  • Quality Assurance and testing.
  • Maintaining good relationship with vendors.
  • Working with global vendors in an enterprise organization.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Familiar with relevant business processes and workflows.

 

Bachelor’s degree required.

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of legal, compliance, regulatory, security, audit, and contractual risk management in a VMO.
  • Health care industry experience
