Our Epic team is comprised of over 150 IT professionals focused on streamlining the way we share patient information across clinical providers and business systems users, with the goal of making each patient’s experience seamless and patient-centered. The team includes Application & Clinical Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, Access & Revenue Cycle Analysts, Credentialed Trainers, Instructional Designers, Software Engineers, and their management. This elite organization takes pride in having completed our initial Epic implementation fully half a year ahead of schedule.

 

We are seeking an Application Analyst on our Epic MyChart team to support patient engagement through our patient portal.  Candidates will be responsible for mastering several Epic products and using skills to increase patient satisfaction through designing and optimizing our MyChart platform.  He/she will also need to collaborate with other teams, involved in various Epic modules, to ensure an accurate and complete implementation.  In addition, he/she may perform additional IT-related assignments as required to meet implementation needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Analysis – Analyze complex business problems and specify the functionality of solutions; Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing modules and procedures that meet user requirements; Determine, communicate, and escalate issues/risks
  • Build – Define an overall build design and leverage Epic strategies to implement while seeking to improve efficiency;  Through unit testing, maintain a level of quality up to departmental standards;  engage with other Epic teams, that support other modules, to promote a complete solution;  Lead design review sessions 
  • Client Management – Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to assess business needs, provide relevant solutions, and communicate information effectively; Manage expectations 
  • Quality Assurance – Determine testing methodology and create test plans for unit and integrated testing; Coordinate user acceptance testing; Execute functional, regression, load testing; etc.
  • Data Analysis – Conduct data analysis and troubleshooting
  • Documentation – Prepare detailed requirement specification documents, process flows,  and other required documents; Create training materials in conjunction with Instructional Designers and/or participate in training

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of patient portals
  • Demonstrative understanding of technical documentation
  • Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience dealing with end-users and vendors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, rapport-building, and presentation skills

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Epic application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience preferred
  • Epic MyChart certification
  • Epic Healthy Planet certification
  • Minimum 2 years build experience in Epic EMR
  • Working knowledge of interoperability  platforms
  • Epic Web Services knowledge
  • FHIR/API experience

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Relevant Experience / Epic Certification will be required
