EPIC - CREDENTIALED TRAINER-3559

We are excited to announce that we are implementing Epic EHR for clinical and patient financial activity as well as consolidating ancillary core systems at White Plains Hospital (WPH), Nyack Hospital and Burke Rehabilitation. This project supports Montefiore Health System’s strategic initiative to more closely integrate members and provide more advanced and better-coordinated care to patients in the region.

 

As part of this expansion, we are seeking a Credentialed Trainer for our EPIC Services team. The Credentialed Trainer works with the Epic Training Manager and the Instructional Design team to deliver training program material to an audience for a specific Epic application(s). This position will manage and teach instructor-led and technology delivered courses in a classroom environment and will work with Instructional Designers to refine and update course content as required. The Credentialed Trainer will follow a systematic delivery process for effective and efficient learning and will work closely with staff to incorporate best practices in delivering technology-enhanced and blended courses. In addition to the content itself, the Credentialed Trainer will also assist with developing appropriate program evaluation tools in order to assess the effectiveness of each training module. The Credentialed Trainer provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver training material in a classroom environment to associates with material relevant to the application(s).
  • Assist with the design and development of training program(s) including selecting appropriate delivery methods and sources of content.
  • Utilize, test, and maintain the training environment.
  • Assist in updating and maintenance of all training materials.
  • Maintain policy and procedure documentation.
  • Maintain training curriculum and deliver ongoing training post-live.

 

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience in relevant environment.
  • Experience in adult education. Prior experience training, teaching or supporting EPIC is highly preferred.
  • Experience communicating technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated competency in areas of interpersonal skills, writing skills, effective communication, facilitation, coaching, organization skills, and presentation skills.
  • Clinical/operational experience preferred.
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Visio skills desired.
  • Credentialed Trainers will attend a 6 week credentialing course onsite. They are required to pass a credentialing test and board exam prior to training.
