The Manager Data Analytics, provides advanced data, reporting, and analytics support to Professional Services department and Faculty Practice Group in general. This role handles complex analytics tasks which require advanced knowledge of tools such as SQL (Both MS and Oracle), Visual Basic, MS Excel, Crystal Reports, etc. Primarily responsible for development, build and maintenance of self-service reporting tools and dashboards to support MMC Physician Revenue Cycle and FPG operations. This role will work with IT to develop/build data marts and data sets; with FPG leadership to build appropriate visualizations; and with FPG departments to validate, Q/A, and ensure consistency and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, build and maintain custom reporting solutions to provide Revenue Cycle, Practice Operation, and Physician Productivity metrics and analysis for MMC Physician Practices. This includes standard monthly, quarterly and annual reports.($4 billion annual charges; $680 million annual collections; 3 million ambulatory visits)
- Handle all complex ad hoc analytics and report requests which require in depth knowledge of physician practice (Revenue Cycle/Operations), as well as advanced report writing skills (ex, using MS SQL, Python, Oracle, etc). Translate data into actionable information.
- Work with external entities (ex, McKinsey), to provide data and analysis of physician revenue cycle (scheduling, billing, productivity, etc) data in support of Strategic goals of FPG and MMC.
- Interpret incoming requests and develop SQL queries and data workflows to provision appropriate data. Be able to make adjustments on the fly as priorities and focus evolves.
- Data lead for regulatory requests (ex, audit responses, cost reporting) to support FPG as well as MMC finance and operations. This includes support of cost reports, CMS and OMIG audits, FQHC UDS reporting and audits, etc.
- Lead efforts to develop, build, publish, document, and maintain on line, automated dashboards which will provide tables, summaries, and visualizations depicting all Revenue Cycle performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree Preferred
- Strong report writing skills (preferably SQL, Epic Caboodle, Epic Clarity).
- Experience building dashboards visualizations with BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Preferred experience in Epic PB and Cadence applications, but appropriate experience in other systems will be considered.
- Experience in Hospital Revenue Cycle in lieu of Physician Revenue Cycle will also be considered.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access skills.
