OFFICE COORDINATOR II

Office Coordinator II provides support to Managed Care Team to ensure effective resoluon of Accounts Receivable.


Responsibilies:

  • Review trends related to all payers for reporting and resolution with Manager
  • Assist in special projects as assigned
  • Review, collect, and analyze data from various systems
  • Daily responsibilities will include assisting Billing Reps, respond and resolve A/R questions
  • Training and dissemination of work
  • Managing and distributing paper claims, correspondence, and checks
  • Produce Excel and EPIC reports. Maintain logs and reports
  • Guide new and existing staff with various system and website, Charge corrections
  • Call Carriers and patients as needed
  • Develop appeals letters
  • Research/Investigate Payor Policies
  • Mailing of Appeals
  • Follow up on mailed appeals
  • Reporting on outcomes
  • Trending Payor denials
  • Assess Workqueue volumes reporting unusual inflows

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Physician Billing Operations is required
  • A minimum of one-year experience in physician billing within a hospital setting required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be an independent, detail oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and understanding of basic mathematics
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and coordinate the activites of other clerical staf
  • Must be proficient in of MS Word, Excel.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of EPIC
  • Must display good judgment skills
