OPERATIONS MANAGER

SUMMARY OF POSITION:


The Operations Manager manages the fast-paced day-to day-operations for the Transfer and Admitting Command Center including bed assignments, coordinating OHS transfers and monitoring patient throughput. The Operations Manager implements admission and transfer policies and practices in coordination with the medical, nursing and executive leadership team to ensure proper patient movement/placement.

 

This role is also involved in formulating strategy, improving performance, increasing quality of customer service and implementing best practices across all levels. The Operations Manager role requires a dynamic individual with a strong transfer, logistics and throughput background as well as excellent communication, people management, and customer service skills.

 

The Operations Manager will assure all command center teams are staffed to provide adequate operations coverage, have the necessary training and resources to successfully perform their work, and that they provide exceptional service to patients and physicians. Additionally, the Operations Manager will utilize call center data to continually improve operations and the patient/physician experience.

 

SCHEDULED HOURS11 PM-7:30 AM, alternate weekends.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • An associate degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related subject is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years of supervisory experience in logistics, transfer center and patient throughput required.
  • Excellent communication, management, interpersonal and leadership skills required.
  • Proficient in EPIC.
