PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

YONKERS, NY, US


The primary purpose is to abstract clinical data from patients' medical record and input the data into to a regulatory/JC vendor database (i.e. Core Measures). The individual must be able to analyze events of care and identify potential quality issues and should be knowledgeable regarding performance measurement and improvement.  In addition the individual must be able to write and present reports, findings and conclusions in an accurate, succinct and organized manner. Logical, analytic and deductive reasoning skills are required. The individual must be attentive to detail and be able to adhere to work schedules. The position requires interaction with varied members of the health care team. Excellent interpersonal skills and clinical expertise is required in order to adequately dialogue and challenge physician and nursing staff regarding the standard of care provided. The associate should obtain current literature to support his/her findings.  Organization of cases and time management are key to the position.

 

Education/Skills/Knowledge:

 

Bachelor's degree required. 

NY State PA or RN License/License Registration and clinical experience involving the direct care of patients.

The individual must have clinical experience involving the direct care of patients as evidenced by an RN, NP or PA degree with prior practical experience.

3-5 years of experience working in an administrative setting involving organizational skills, independent decision making and interaction with multidisciplinary team members.

Conducts concurrent and retrospective chart reviews according to objective criteria to identify quality of care and regulatory issues, and enters the case (or supervises entry of data) into specified databases.
