About the Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative (MHVC):

The Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative (MHVC) is a Performing Provider System (PPS) in the New York State Department of Health's Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program (DSRIP). MHVC is comprised of a group of over 200 partnering healthcare organizations, who have come together to improve healthcare across the Hudson Valley through the development of an integrated delivery system.  Working together, we are championing new models of providing Medicaid beneficiaries with higher quality care, while reducing expenditures through enhanced care coordination, community-focused care and education.

The HEALing Communities Study will generate evidence about how tools for preventing and treating opioid addiction are most effective at the local level. This NIDA funded multisite implementation research study will test the impact of an integrated set of evidence-based interventions across healthcare, behavioral health, justice, and other community-based settings in 16 New York State highly affected counties.  The goal is to prevent and treat opioid misuse and opioid use disorder (OUD) and reduce opioid related deaths by 40 percent over three years.
