SENIOR APPLICATION ANALYST

The team includes Application & Clinical Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, Access & Revenue Cycle Analysts, Credentialed Trainers, Instructional Designers, Software Engineers, and their management. This elite organization takes pride in having completed our initial Epic implementation fully half a year ahead of schedule.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Application Analyst for the Clinical Hospital team utilizes his/her knowledge of the client’s clinical or business requirements, application capabilities, and his/her technical skills to implement and support applications. The Sr. Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation of new applications, upgrades, and modifications to existing systems. The Sr. AA is also responsible for the application configuration, go-live support, and on-going client support. He/she works on multiple projects concurrently.

 

The Clinical Hospital Team supports Epic Modules for Stork ASAP, Rover, BCA, Printing and Workstations, and device management, along with CPN and ASOBGYN third-party systems.  The team also has several requests for large optimization efforts such as sedation narrator, code narrator, inpatient readmission reduction initiatives, and Rover expansions.  The Senior Application Analyst will support, maintain, upgrade and optimize Epic and associated third-party systems. Additionally, will support other related projects and initiatives.

 

The Epic Senior Application Analyst will achieve in-depth knowledge of the Epic application and serve as a liaison between users and the Epic implementation staff. Additionally, the Epic Senior Application Analyst performs a thorough analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with Epic software. This Senior Analyst prepares detailed requirements specifications and provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems and procedures that meet user requirements. The Senior Analyst will review and test new releases and document all outcomes of testing and serve as the support contact for the application. This position has responsibility within all phases of the application implementation including design, build, test, installation, and maintenance of the application.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 8 years working in a related clinical, healthcare business, or technical position
  • Knowledge of system development and life cycle processes realted to application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support
  • Project Management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflict, maintain issues list, and manage a project plan).
  • Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Knowledge of clinical area or business area to be supported
  • Programming or other technical skills beneficial
  • Experience in determining how a new system, upgrade or new component can best meet the needs of end users
  • Epic certification in ASAP, Stork, or Clindoc
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and rapport-building skills
  • Strong presentation skills

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of inpatient and ambulatory workflows
  • Experience working with third-party application vendors

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
