SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST MIT

One of the most visible departments at Montefiore IT is responsible for managing the systems involved in collecting billions of dollars in revenue annually from government and private insurers. This department has developed a proprietary Java-based software tool with an expert systems component to perform this more efficiently than virtually any comparable hospital system can accomplish. We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst.

Responsibilities include: 

• Gather requirements from all registration and billing groups across the enterprise.
• Create workflows.
• Work closely with stakeholders and development teams to translate business requirements for development teams.
• Gain end user approval on proposed changes and enhancements.
• Validate processes and software including creating test cases and Manul testing.
• Provide production support for various applications, which involves responding to alerts, troubleshooting, and performing regular maintenance activities.
• Generate custom and ad hoc reports.
• Troubleshoot data issues.

Requirements include: 

• 3+ years of experience as a business systems analyst in a complex enterprise IT environment.
• Strong SQL skills, including experience writing complex queries.
• Experience performing manual testing and creating test scripts.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Expertise in MS Excel, Word, Access, Visio, Project
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Documentation skills.

Desired:

• Strong preference for knowledge of Epic.
• HIPAA transactions and hospital/medical billing
