SENIOR MANAGER IT SYSTEMS - CUSTOMER & DATA CENTER DEPLOYMENT - 6493

The Senior Manager, IT Systems is responsible for managing multiple teams of Information Technology professionals. This Senior Manager assigns both project-based work and production work through managers or team leads. Oversee the teams’ personnel management and project management.

 

The Sr. Manager has strong technical knowledge and is skilled in applying procedures, policies, and methodologies. The Senior Manager, IT Systems stays abreast of the industry standards for his/her field of specialization, providing leadership and develops direct reports in management functions. The Senior Manager, IT Systems provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • The Senior Manager will manage multiple teams of Information Technology professionals.
    • Plan the work, delegate effectively and follow up with staff, providing support and guidance.
    • Evaluate the team and its members’ level of performance, to provide performance management and establish the delivery of top tier services and solutions to the client.
    • Mentor and identify training needs for team members, ensuring professional development and superior technical expertise.
    • Responsible for resource allocation, managing assignments, and overseeing the work performed by the team.
    • Responsible for staffing decisions and promotions of team members.
  • Oversee and manage projects ranging in size, complexity, and scope.
    • Create schedules, assignments, priorities and direction to the team members and vendor personnel.
    • Develop work and cost estimates, program priorities, resource requirements, project scope, and objectives.
    • Tailor the project or program planning to meet the needs of the client and the interests of the company.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of solutions as a Subject Matter Expert.
    • Provide expert guidance to the team on new solutions and designs
    • Provide management with insight and recommendations on suggested solutions.
    • Review proposed solutions to ensure the delivery of a quality product or service to the client.
  • Responsibility is to assist in managing Client hosting Service relations with external clients and affiliates as well as external services to Montefiore. This includes data center hardware deployment, technical support and administrative services for cabinet/server cabling, power connection, installation and decommissions.
  • Must manage client break fixes and project activities in the Yonkers DC, Orangeburg DC and Moses DC's.  
  • Must provide excellent communication, service efficiency and customer satisfaction per contractual agreement/SLA.
  • Must handle Resource Mgmt. for Deployment Ops.team and ensure all work orders, daily tasks, project activities and delegation of duties as required and completed on time.
  •  Attend client support meetings and prepare monthly accountings of engagement (including reports on asset inventory and services rendered).
  • Manage hosting financials by keeping track of budgetary expense and funding for equipment, installation, supplies and technical support

  • Manage IT Operation Client hosting service and administrative work relating to the Client hosting environment. Provide assistance to company internal implementations.
  • Manage Technical resource on Client backend workload and project activities relating to Data Center hardware deployment, i.e. cabinet/server installation, decommission, power cabling, patch panels, network connections etc.
  • Manage work assignments and technical support for problem determination and resolution. Ensure Client SLAs are met, report on service accomplishments, equipment supplies, and off-hours support.     
  • Manage /Monitor Ops. Deployment resource assignments for daily workload; Work administration and Documentation which includes the Department function
  • Define technical standards for cabling as well as power configurations. From a deployment standpoint, document proper installation methods and cable management standards.

           

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Team management
  • Has implemented the DCIM workflow tool ensuring that it is embedded in Data Center Deployments operational workflows and procedures for all data Center sites with an end result being to shorten deployment eta’s
  • Metered Power – Ensure that all data center cabinets are configured to provide a metered power report. This includes the scoping, and estimating as well as everything required to provide a metered power report by cabinet     
  • Publish a Data Center Deployment standards document
  • Define technical standards for cabling as well as power configurations. From a deployment standpoint, document proper installation methods and cable management standards.

        

CURRENT PROJECTS:

  • Data Center assets Including Client devices must be represented in the Data Center
  • Infrastructure mgmt. Product tool ( DCIM). Partake in workflow implementation to ensure all technical workflows are documented and adhered to.
  • The DCIM is our central repository and technical documentation for all data center assets.  
  • Ensure all Client assets are reconciled to the appropriate source of truths.      

 

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelors OR Relative Work Experience in IT
