We are seeking a Team Lead to join our fast-paced, ever-learning, and collaborative Epic Cupid / Cardiovascular and Nutrition Systems group (CVNS). The CVNS team owns and supports Epic Cupid along with ancillary cardiology systems such as ISCV, MUSE, Lifewatch, Maclab, Medstreaming, Apollo and Pedcath.


The Team Lead works in a hands-on role in designing technical solutions in addition to providing guidance to a team of talented Senior Analysts and Analysts. The Team Lead works closely with the manager and may also function as a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be an organized, self-starter, proactive process improver, have a thirst for learning, and be comfortable leading through change, and Montefiore’s expanding Health System.  This is a challenging and rewarding position offering tremendous growth in an upbeat team atmosphere.


This position is based in Yonkers, NY.



  • Participate in day-to-day execution of advanced level technical activities.
  • In conjunction with the manager, provide direction to a small team.
    • Oversee assignments and the work of team members.
    • Participate in planning the work, delegating effectively and following up with staff, to provide support and guidance.
    • Participate in the evaluation of team members’ level of performance, to provide performance management.
    • Participate in identifying training needs for team members.
    • Participate in staffing decisions and promotion of team members.
  • Supply technical expertise and business systems guidance to manager and team.
  • Assist in defining problems and objectives, describing the requirements, determining costs and benefits.
  • Define technical issues as they relate to the business and the operational feasibility of the system.
    • Ensure that requirements are benchmarked against vendor offerings to facilitate solutions to business or operational problems.
    • Identify highly complex, non-routine issues and recommends corrective action.
    • Develop solutions for new system requirements.
    • Provide expertise on design and planning and ensure that appropriate technical designs are implemented.
    • Provide design review and/or code review, for efficiency and adherence to standards.
    • Assess issues and provide enhancements to existing systems.
    • Proactively analyze systems to identify potential issues and identify solutions.
    • Maintain a high level of technical expertise and business knowledge.
    • Ensure training, documentation, policies and procedures are up-to-date, compliance and consistent across the enterprise.
    • Provide system go-live support and On-call pager support, as required.
  • Assist Project Manager or Manager with project planning.
    • Participate in developing program priorities, resource requirements, project scope, and objectives.
    • Identify, analyze, and communicate risks and issues to project management.



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of clinical technology experience
  • Experience leading or mentoring others
  • Strong knowledge of the workflow associated with either Radiology or Invasive Cardiology or Non-Invasive Cardiology
  • EPIC Cupid certification preferred. Consideration will be given for other Epic clinical certifications, Optime, Radiant, Orders, etc.
  • Experience with application maintenance and product support.
  • Overall understanding of the application systems development lifecycle.

  • Meeting all requirements for EPIC Certification is a condition of employment



  • Prior experience with any of the following is preferred:  Apollo, ISCV, Xcelera, PedCath, GE MacLab/CardioLab, MUSE, CBORD and Medstreaming
  • Additional certification/proficiency in any EPIC clinical module, especially OpTime or Radiant
  • Understanding of DICOM, HL7, IHE and other health related standards
  • Troubleshooting Cardiology Modalities, US, Fluoroscopy, IVUS, etc.
  • Programming or other technical skills
  • Project Management skills (ability to lead meetings, present information, prioritize, resolve conflict, maintain issues list and manage a project plan)
